An entrepreneur is an individual who, rather than working as an employee, finds and runs a small business, assuming all the risks and rewards of the venture.” A key role in the economy is played by entrepreneurs. So, what do entrepreneurs actually do? These are the people who bring good ideas to the market and provide innovative goods and better services for the ease of people. They anticipate the public’s future and current needs, and are creators and managers of a business.

Entrepreneurs face way too many risks, mostly financial. They have to invest almost all of their personal finance into their business, without having any guarantee about it’s success. Secondly, the talk of business risk arises. It is an entrepreneur who has to face substantial business risk. This is because the rate of failure of small companies and start-ups are very high. They also face a career risk by leaving a secure job behind for a venture with an uncertain future.

An entrepreneur plays a very significant role in the economy by providing job opportunities to the people around. To make his business come into being, he needs people to work for him. The available workload must be shared by the entrepreneur and hence, he generates employment. As his business leads to the path of expansion and growth, he will employ more people. Hence, the development of the economy is boosted by entrepreneurship. And through the creation of employment, wealth is generated. The aim of entrepreneurs is to change people’s lives and work for the betterment of society. So, they provide their goods and services at minimal cost, keeping less profit for themselves and their company. People not only get job security as the business expands, but also get the best quality of goods and services at a very reasonable price.

Are entrepreneurs born or made? Being an entrepreneur is what the young generation dreams of. To become a successful entrepreneur, one must have confidence in oneself and take the responsibilities necessary to start and run a business. Entrepreneurship is noteveryone’s cup of tea, it requires a lot of risk-taking, investments and research. Thus, the benefits of being an entrepreneur cannot be underestimated. The society needs to switch the mentality that small businesses are a sheer waste of time. It is an entrepreneur who is putting his entire career at risk for the betterment of the people and the development of society. Entrepreneurs’ aim is profit and a life-changing product and service. Hence, entrepreneurship can be called as a core foundation for a great business.
